Wise County Public Schools

Due to power outages at multiple schools, Wise County Public Schools will operate on a Code 2 schedule on Thursday, February 29, 2024! Code 2 is our 2-Hour Delay Schedule for students.

Eastside High School, Coeburn Middle School, and Coeburn Primary School will be dismissing today, February 28, 2024, at 2pm! These are the only schools dismissing early!

The power is out at Eastside High School, Coeburn Middle School, and Coeburn Primary School. We have trees down over the roadway leading to Coeburn Primary. We have teams on site working to remove the tree and determine when power will be restored!

Congratulations to Central High School's Avery Hall on his State Runner-Up finish in the 165lb weight class at the VHSL 2A State Tournament.

Congratulations to Union High School's Thomas Potter on his State Championship in the 165lb weight class at the VHSL 2A State Wrestling Tournament. This was Thomas' 4th State Championship!

Congratulations to Central High School's Brayden Owsley on his State Championship in the 120lb weight class at the VHSL 2A State Wrestling Tournament!

From our Food Services Department: In anticipation of virtual learning days due to inclement weather, the Food Services Program will be sending home with students 2 days of meals, including 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on the following days: Wednesday, 2/14 - SPE, CMS, EHS, UMS and UHS Thursday, 2/15 - UPS, JWA, WPS, LFA and CHS Friday, 2/16 - CPS This does not mean virtual learning is scheduled.
